Captain.. Your host and the master aboard is, of course, your experienced and knowledgeable captain. He knows every cove, shoal and depth like the back of his hand. He is responsible for your safety and is very meticulous about it. He may change the programme according to the weather conditions. Please respect his decisions.
Cook & Deckhand.. Do not imagine that you are on an ocean voyage aboard a cruise ship; we offer a more modest, more intimate atmosphere. Your cook prepares delicious meals for you with skilful hands in the small galley. Your deckhand helps with the cleaning and assists the cook and the captain. Making the beds is not his duty; a small tip at the end of the cruise, as you see fit, will delight the crew.
The Boat.. The motor-sailers, built of pinewood, are inspired by the old Ottoman-Turkish coastal boats. Every cabin has a double bed, a small wardrobe and storage space beneath the bed. Bed linen and one face towel per person are provided. The cabins are used for sleeping only — real life happens on deck.
This Is a Real Holiday.. A real holiday is swimming among the fish in a crystal-clear cove. Days pass very quickly on board. If there is no excursion scheduled for that day in the tour programme, the blue voyage offers you plenty of ways to enjoy your day. The early morning hours are ideal for fishing. With a mask, snorkel and fins you can explore the underwater world. If you like, you can head out on a rowing boat or go ashore to discover nature. The coves where the boat drops anchor offer a wonderful panoramic view, perfect for photographs.
The main purpose of the blue voyage is to rest and relax. Remember that sports, entertainment and other activities are only things you will need when you get bored.
Day 1: MARMARIS
You can settle into your cabins in Marmaris harbour from 15:30 onwards. The first day on board begins with dinner, and the night is spent in Marmaris harbour. Marmaris, one of Turkey's most important tourist centres, also has a large marina.
Day 2: ARAP ISLAND – BOZUKKALE (LORYMA)
After breakfast you are briefed on the tour programme and we set off for Arap Island, where lunch is served. We then move on to the bay that holds the ancient city of Bozukkale (Loryma) for the night. The fortress, laid out as a rectangle between facing walls, has nine towers; the name "bozuk" — "broken" — may come from the fact that one side of it is missing. Because of its position and the narrow harbour entrance, Athenian ships also used this harbour during the Peloponnesian Wars. In 395 BC the Athenian commander Konon gathered his fleet here before the Battle of Cnidus, and in 305 BC Demetrios, son of Antigonos, chose this harbour to prepare his attack on Rhodes.
Day 3: DATÇA
After breakfast we anchor at Datça, where water, provisions and other supplies are taken on board. From here you can join the optional excursion we arrange for guests who would like to visit the ancient city of Knidos. Guests who stay on board can spend the day swimming and sunbathing in Kargı Bay, where we drop anchor. The night is spent in Datça harbour, and after dinner you will have time to walk around the harbour and the charming streets of the town.
Day 4: AKTUR – BENCİK
After breakfast we head for Aktur, and our first stop is Bencik Bay. The entrance is very narrow, and as you make your way in a remarkable view opens up. Bencik lies on the Hisarönü side, at the narrowest point of the peninsula that separates the Gulf of Hisarönü from the Gulf of Gökova. Around 550 BC the people of Knidos tried to dig through this one-kilometre neck as a line of defence against the advancing Persian army and to join the two gulfs: the two seas would meet, the peninsula would become an island and defence would be easier. The work began with great effort but was never completed, and in the end the Persians took Knidos as well. Dinner and overnight stay in Bencik Bay.
Day 5: ORHANİYE – SELİMİYE – KOCAADA
Today we sail deeper into the Gulf of Hisarönü and anchor in Orhaniye Bay for lunch. If you wish, you can join our jeep safari here. In Orhaniye Bay the natural formation known as "Kız Kumu" (Maiden's Sand), shaped by the rise and fall of the sea, is an extraordinary sight: a reddish strip of sand you can walk along out into the water, and many legends are told about it. On a small island in the bay there are ancient remains with visible fortress walls. Dinner and the night are at Kocaada, near Selimiye Bay.
Day 6: DİRSEK BÜKÜ – BOZBURUN
After anchoring in Dirsek Bükü for a swimming break, we set off for Bozburun, a small fishing town. The night is spent in this bay.
Day 7: KUMLUK or KADIRGA – CENNET ISLAND – MARMARIS
After breakfast we head for Kadırga or Kumluk Bay, where lunch is served. Following a swimming break at Cennet (Paradise) Island, we return to Marmaris harbour at around 16:00 for dinner and the night.
